According to the staff at the Osh-based agencies who provide services to people living with HIV / AIDS (PLWHA), yet there was no single case of denying employment due to HIV status. However, it happens sometime that these people are not aware of their rights and experience psychological barriers: they are afraid of disclosing their status to the employer as think it can impact their employment opportunities. Another issue is the list of positions to which it is banned to hire HIV-positive people.
